5 Amazing (but Underrated) Places to Visit in Dubai!
When you think of places to visit in Dubai, your mind will automatically pull up images of soaring sky rises and grand architectural wonders. A dream destination for all of us, Dubai reflects opulence, grandeur and style in all it owns. But the famous sites like Burj Khalifa, Emirates Mall, and Desert Safari aren’t the only spectacular places to visit in Dubai. Other than being famous, these places are rushing with tourists all over the year as well. What is unknown to many are the several interesting and amazing places in the city which are completely underrated and overlooked. Your trip to the emirate city would remain incomplete if you don’t visit at least a few of these places:
Bastakia Quarter
Bastakia Quarter is an old neighborhood, located at the heart of this modern, metropolitan city. Beautifully restored and particularly attractive at night when the lights are lit up, it is probably one of the least famous destinations in Dubai but it is worth visiting. For those who want to know what Dubai was before the emergence of the skyscrapers.
Wafi Light and Sound Show
The Wafi Light Show starts every night at the Wafi Mall, with a theme as distinct as “Return of the Pharaohs”. Looking at the lights being beautifully projected all across the Pyramids and the early Egyptian inspired buildings will leave you in complete awe. Creating an amazing display, the show captivates its audience and adds a topping to their delightful shopping experience.
Jumeirah Beach Residence Walk
Giving you an air of some urban beach of Europe, it is a 1.7 kilometers long stretch of roads with shopping centres and outdoor restaurants, which offer a wide range of foods, leading to the Jumeirah Beach. Take a stroll through Jumeirah Beach Residence which is an ideal place for having a relaxing time and also for enjoying some delicious food.
Book Munch Cafe
Being a community cafe, this place is about much more than coffee and cakes. The cafe provides a collection of books for all ages, as well as some great events for bookworms such as book signings, readings, book clubs, and other arty get-togethers.
Burjuman
Probably the oldest mall in Dubai, Burjuman covers an area of more than 800,000 square feet. It has more than 300 retail stores, as well as a hotel suit, a business tower, and a duplex residence. With the crop ups of new buildings, it seems like Burjuman has been forgotten, but it’s still one of the best places to visit in Dubai.
