Most of the people are looking for destinations that are safe to travel to amid COVID-19. As the weather has also set in, it’s the perfect time to pack your bags and on top of all, there are countries that have declared themselves ‘open to travel’ or ‘quarantine-free destination’ or ‘safe countries to travel’. So, here is the list of region-wise quarantine-free countries that you can pick:

—— EUROPE ——
There are many countries in Europe that are open to European people; however, there are a few restrictions for international travelers. Given below is the list of countries without quarantine restrictions:

United Kingdom
The United Kingdom has released a list of 59 countries that includes France, Germany, Greece, Japan, Turkey does not need to quarantine themselves for 14 days. Countries that are excluded from the list are required to undergo quarantine.

Denmark
In Denmark, travelers from Germany, Iceland, or Norway are not required to undergo quarantine.

Austria
Travelers from England, Sweden, Spain, and Portugal cannot travel to Austria without undergoing quarantine. However, from other European countries, people can travel without quarantine and they do not even need to show any health certificates.

Belgium
Travelers from European countries to Belgium do not need to quarantine themselves. However, those who travel from non-European countries shall self-quarantine themselves for at least 14 days.

Estonia
Estonia has been re-opened to tourism for inbound travelers with a condition of quarantine if they are traveling from a country where there are 15-25 cases per 1,00,000 people.

Germany
Travelers who are coming from European countries to Germany and other countries such as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom do not require undergoing a 14-day quarantine. Travelers from other countries are required to be quarantined.

Iceland
Those who wish to travel to Iceland have two options to choose from- self-quarantine for 14 days or the COVID-19 test. In case your test report is positive, you will be quarantined.

Italy
Those who are traveling from European countries, the UK and Schengen countries to Italy are not required to quarantine themselves. And travelers from other countries will be required to quarantine themselves.

Portugal
Conditional quarantine is effective in Azores and Madeira islands. In case, your test report is negative or you want to be tested for COVID-19, quarantine is not required.

Luxembourg
Borders of Luxembourg are open to all international travelers and they can ask for help if they get symptoms of COVID-19 or are at risk of transmission.

Only those travelers who are arriving from high-risk countries require undergoing quarantine for 14 days.

Travelers from other countries will be required to be quarantined for 14 days.

Travelers from European countries are not required to undergo quarantine. For others, self-quarantine for 14 days is mandatory.

Slovakia
Travelers from the following countries are not required to undergo quarantine: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Lichtenstein, Lithuania, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, Norway, Poland, Switzerland, Slovenia, and the Faroe Islands. Travelers from other countries are required to undergo a 14-day self-quarantine.

If the travelers are not traveling from a country where there is a risk of contracting the virus, no quarantine is required.

Exempting Slovenian and Serbian people arriving from the following countries: Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Serbia, and Slovenia, rest is required to undergo quarantine for 14 days.

United Arab Emirates
UAE also declared re-opened to travel, however, the travelers must meet a few conditions such as health insurance and Health Declaration Form before arrival. Temperature checks are being done at the airports. Those who test positive will be quarantined.

In Asia, there are many countries without quarantine restrictions such as Cambodia, Maldives, Sri Lanka, and more. China, Japan, and South Korea were hit by a pandemic wave at the earliest. There hasn’t been symmetry throughout Asia. For example, India is witnessing the worst hit as of now. On the other hand, Maldives and Cambodia are re-opened for travelers. As per the data of August 2020, given below is the list of countries without quarantine on arrival:

Cambodia
Cambodia is welcoming international travelers without quarantine with a condition that they produce a negative PCR test report which has been done 72 hours prior to arrival. The test will be repeated after arrival in Cambodia. In case, all the travelers in the same flight test negative, no quarantine is required. Also, international travelers are required to keep a deposit of $3000 which would be used to treat COVID-19 and facilitate quarantine at a government hospital, if you catch COVID-19.

Japan
Though the borders of Japan are not open to almost 129 countries, travel bubbles are being discussed to permit visitors from various countries such as Australia, China, Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam. However, if a traveler can produce a negative PCR test report and complete a travel itinerary, they can travel to Japan.

Maldives
The Maldives is offering a 30-day tourist visa and travelers won’t be required to quarantine themselves upon arrival. Also, there would be certain conditions to be fulfilled such as a health declaration form, wearing masks, and practicing social distancing wherever you go. In case, a traveler shows symptoms of COVID-19, they should get the test done at their own cost and if the test report comes positive, 14-day quarantine is mandatory.

Sri Lanka
Granting permission to international travelers to enter Sri Lanka, the authorities have a few conditions such as PCR test upon arrival, practicing hygiene and social distancing, and stay of at least 5 days. During travel, the travelers won’t be permitted to use public transportation and reside at accommodations approved by the government only.

Turkey
Turkey is one of the countries that were re-opened for international travelers quite early. The international flights were resumed by mid-June. Upon arrival, no health documents are required, however, temperature checks and COVID-19 testing is done at the airport only for $17. In case, a traveler shows symptoms of COVID-19 upon arrival in Turkey, they will be tested, treated, and quarantined at government-approved facilities.

Uzbekistan
The government authorities at Uzbekistan have introduced a sanitation regime and they entrust it so much that it has announced to pay $3000 to the people who travel and catch COVID-19. Those who travel from low-risk countries, i.e., China, South Korea, Israel, and Japan do not need to be restricted for anything. On the other hand, visitors from Europe and the UK can enter after being self-quarantined for 14 days.

Africa took stringent measures during the initial phase of the pandemic. As a result, there is a lesser number of COVID-19 cases throughout the continent. A few countries have already declared them re-opened to travel while other countries are planning to re-open with safety measures in place. Egypt
With a few conditions such as Health Declaration Form, health insurance, and mandatory temperature checks at the airport, Egypt is open to travelers. Also, travelers can check out tourist attractions only.

Ethiopia
Travelers who enter Ethiopia shall show a negative PCR test report. Upon arrival in Ethiopia, they will be re-tested. And those who test positive will have to be quarantined mandatorily at government-approved facilities only at their own cost.

Liberia
If you are traveling to Liberia, a negative PCR test report should be shown which is issued within 72 hours upon arrival. There are mandatory temperature check and COIVD-19 retest upon arrival in Liberia. In case, your test report is positive, you will have to undergo quarantine for a minimum of 14 days.

Rwanda
Travelers planning to come to Rwanda must take a PCR test in the home country and the report should be issued within 72 hours of departure. With a negative report, you can visit Rwanda but at first, you have to mail the copy of the report to lab@rbc.gov.rw before departing. Also, you need to bring that copy and show it upon entry into Rwanda. You will be re-tested upon arrival in Rwanda.

All the travelers to Senegal are required to produce a Health Declaration Form and negative PCR test report. For negative test results, no quarantine and medical screening are required.

Seychelles
Seychelles has permitted the entry of travelers from 17 low-risk and 20 medium-risk countries. For each country has different, the authorities have set different requirements. The visitors shall bring a negative PCR test report issued within 72 hours of departure. Upon arrival, the temperature checks, symptom monitoring, and random swabbings will be done. Travel insurance is mandatory for all. Also, accommodation shall be booked as per the government-approved list.

Sierra Leone
Travelers shall produce a negative PCR test report issued within 72 hours before departure. Also, a travel authorization card is a must. Re-test upon arrival is required with pre-payment.

Tanzania
While all the travelers shall produce a negative PCR test report issued within 72 hours prior to travel, it is crucial to maintain social distancing and wear masks throughout the nation.

Tunisia
There is a color-coded system in Tunisia based on the risk factor. Green countries are the safest ones from which the travelers do not need to undergo quarantine and need to produce an online sanitary form. From orange countries, a negative PCR test report is mandatorily issued within 72 hours of departure.

America hasn’t re-opened tourism except for a few countries. Given below is the list of countries without quarantine on arrival:

Mexico
Of all the countries in North America, only Mexico is open to international tourists. There are a few beaches in Mexico that are open to travel and no quarantine is required. However, those travelers who fell any symptoms of COVID-19 are self-quarantined for 14 days.

Brazil
Brazil is open to international travelers. In case, a traveler stays up to 90 days, they must have medical insurance coverage for their stay.

Nicaragua
Lifting all the entry restrictions to international travelers, Nicaragua does not ask travelers to be quarantined, provided they have a negative PCR test report.

Dominican Republic
Dominican Republic does not require travelers to be quarantined, provided they produce a negative PCR test report issued a maximum of 5 days before the travel date. If you fail to produce a negative test report, you will be tested upon arrival in the Dominican Republic. And in case, a traveler shows symptoms, they shall be quarantined at government-approved facilities.

Jamaica
Travelers arriving in Jamaica will be screened and tested upon arrival. They will have to undergo quarantine until the test reports are produced. The travelers have to stay within ‘COVID-19 Resilient Corridor’, a territory to live within Jamaica especially designated for visitors.
