Dubai continues to build on its economic success, primarily towards better infrastructures and facilities to give the tourists an unforgettable and record breaking experience. With a number of impressive plans on paper, Dubai is all set to break more records which would make their current Record holder- The Burj Khalifa (Tallest man-made structure) look pedestrian.
To make sure 2014 had all the right things to work towards, the Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum inaugurated the project which has been catching the world’s attention towards the Emirates, Mohammad Bin Rashid City (MBR city). The $8.16 billion project is scheduled for completion in 2018-19 and will span over 54 million square feet. The development responsibility will be taken up as a 50/50 joint venture of Dubai’s Meydan and Sobha Group.
They plan construction of a commercial center, low- and mid-rise residences, an 18-hole golf course and other facilities over 11 million sq m, which would cover Urban, mixed use, leisure and sports developments. The inaugurated District One is reported to also feature 7 km of lagoons and 14 km of man-made beaches alongside the many facilities on offer. This first phase will be known as Dubai Hills Estate of the MBR city. In addition to all the leisure amenities, educational institutions, healthcare facilities and mosques are well planned as well.
The record breaking factor will speak for itself once MBR City gradually takes form. The World’s biggest Shopping Mall, a Universal Studios franchise and a public park larger than Hyde Park is a spectacle to witness. Even if you are not an investor looking to appreciate properties out of this new development, it is a must to witness these man made marvels and make the best out of Dubai.
This is something we all want to see, itis set to be ready before 2020. Will you be there?
