When the Emirates Golf Club was inaugurated back in the 1988, it was rightly called the ‘Desert Miracle’ as it is a spectacle to something new on such a landscape. The brainchild of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Renowned Majlis Course is home to the prestigious Desert Classic Tournament, which was when the European Tour first visited the Middle East.
The ‘Majlis’ which means ‘meeting place’ is appropriately tagged as it is home to a brilliant golfing experience. Regular and Often updates to the course has kept it up to date on the rankings, modernized the look of the course, and given players a wider variety of shot options from around the green. This course is known to produce winners of the highest pedigree, and provides nail-biting finishes to tournaments.
2014 year marks the 25th anniversary of the Emirates Golf Club. The Majlis Course has gained popularity, and without a doubt deserves all the praise from the Golfing world. It is considered to be one of the top golfing experiences of the world.
Agreed, The Emirates GC has a traditional essence to it now, and can be tagged as the ‘Home’ of Golf in UAE.
