The childhood home of Mohammed Thakurufaanu, a Maldivian national hero, who alongside his brother overthrew the Portuguese rule of 1573. It is located in Utheemu, an inhabited island in the north of Maldives. Visitors are escorted around the complex of the buildings by a member of the staff of the museum and are able to see the fascinating wooden interior, which is 500-years old, which makes it worth a visit.
HP Reef
