One the sport’s greatest and well-known names, Ernie Els, is a prominent ambassador of Golf in the Emirates. He is the only player to have won the coveted Dubai Desert Classic the most times with 3 wins. The region has provided great history to his career, and as an active course designer around the world, designing and naming this club after his name is the perfect honor to his contributions to golf in UAE.
With his experience playing worldwide, and due to his favorite nature of the Link’s courses of Europe, the course was designed to that very same preference. It has been flagged the ‘Desert Links’ as the sheer dunes substitute for ocean coasts normally found on conventional Links courses.
Even though the South African four-time Major winner trademark may be enough to lure the golf enthusiasts to the course, the Els course is among the best in Dubai. The club is fairly new and is moving towards maturity gradually, along with the newly developed Dubai Sports City which is bound to be Dubai’s top locations. With facilities currently under development, The Els Club has a great temporary clubhouse and an immaculate practice area and short game arena.
Modern and minimalistic design principles are felt throughout the newly designed Els Club, offering spectacular facilities for golfers to relax after their round.
