Being one of the main hubs of business and tourism, Dubai attracts some of the largest percentages of tourists and visitors every year. But being a city filled with both traditional and modern attractions, it’s tricky to decide the exact places to visit; and the question is, if you’re visiting Dubai for two days, what is it that you should do? We’re here with a travel guide to help you out!
Day 1: Go on Dubai City Tour & Discover the Cultural Dubai
The Jumeirah Mosque
If you want to experience the authentic culture of Dubai, the Jumeirah mosque should be a must-visit destination for you. Said to be the most photographed mosque in the city, it’s built in the traditional Fatimid style – with keel-shaped arches and elements of Western architecture bridged together with Islamic style of building. With the Sheikh Mohammed Center for Cultural Understanding (SMCCU), take a religious tour of the beautiful mosque to experience the true Islamic culture of Dubai.
Deira Dubai
Located in the north of the Dubai Creek, Deira is one of the oldest cultural centers in Dubai, home to many colorful souks and markets, the most popular being the Gold Souk and the Spice Souk.
Winding along the waterfront of Deira is the Corniche, which is an ideal place for you to take a walk down the area. And worry not, if you want some entertainment, Deira is also home to some of the biggest business centers in Dubai and offers many other entertainment possibilities as well.
Abra Ride and Lunch, Dubai Creek
While you’re at Deira Dubai, why not take an Abra ride at the Dubai Creek? After all, if you can’t opt for a full cruise, you should definitely choose the next best thing. Take an Abra Ride around Dubai Creek, and you can visit some of the best restaurants located in the area – including budget blasting options like Gordon Ramsay’s Verre, Miyako, or The China Club; or some more affordable or downright cheap options including Greek Taverna and Ashiana, or Karachi Darbar and Xiao Wei Yang Hotpot, respectively.
Sunset Experience at Desert Safari
Your visit to Dubai isn’t complete if you don’t visit the Desert Safari. Visit the iconic tourist location and experience the thrill of the place while bashing sand dunes and trying out some great cuisine while you’re there. You can even book a trip with us here: Desert Safari Tour with Travelex Travels & Tours.
Other Option:
Sunset Hot Air Balloon Ride
Want to try out something more exciting? You can opt for a Sunset Balloon ride with your family or significant other. After all, what’s better than enjoying the golden sun settling down for the night, and you experience it first hand from the sky?
Day 2: Enjoy The Glamorous Dubai
Burj Khalifa, The Dubai Mall, and The Dancing Fountain
Burj Khalifa wasn’t chosen for Tom Cruise to climb on his impossible mission at random. It is, after all, the tallest man-made structure in the world. And it is almost a sin to not experience its majestic aura while you’re in Dubai. Take a tour to the top of Burj Khalifa and experience what it’s like to stand at the top of Dubai (literally!).
And after that, head over to the amazing Dubai Mall to shop your heart out at the branded stores. Or, if you’re just planning on window shopping, you can drop by at the various entertainment spots in the mall including the Dubai Aquarium, Ice Rink, Reel Cinemas or the Dubai Dino. But wait up! Don’t forget to experience the perfectly choreographed dance of the Dubai Fountain Show.

In the evening you have options either visit Global Village or IMG Worlds of Adventure or Dinner in the Sky
Global Village and the Sheikh Zayed Road
Sheikh Zayed road is as majestic as the city it belongs to, and even more fascinating is the Global Village – the largest tourism and entertainment project in the world. Take a short trip and get some souvenirs to take back home, all the while taking in the glitz and glamour of their shops and entertainment spots before heading over to IMG Worlds of Adventure.
IMG Worlds of Adventure
Wondering how it felt when the Avengers battled with Ultron? You don’t have to imagine that because you can experience the thrill at the IMG theme park, located near Global Village. With a variety of activities for children and adults, this theme park has a whole section dedicated to Marvel characters, Cartoon Network and so much more. If you’re visiting Dubai with your family, a trip to IMG Worlds of Adventure will be worth it! You can even dine in at the themed restaurants including Tony Stark’s preferred Shawarma joint – Downtown Shawarma, and fast food options like the Powerpuff Ice Cream Parlor, Samosa House, or Finn and Jake’s – Everything Burrito.
