The X3 Junior Triathlon, presented by Lacnor and organized by XDubai, is to be held tomorrow on 17th November. The race promises to be a fun and exciting event for kids between the age of 4 to 16, and the course has been uniquely tailored for them. There are six different age categories: 4-5 years old, 6-7 years old, 8-9 years old, 10-11 years old, 12-13 years old, and 14-16 years old. The boys and girls will be split in different courses which will further challenge the children in a safe environment.
What’s more interesting about X3 Junior Triathlon is that your children do not have to be fantastic swimmers/cyclists/runners to participate. It is all about fun and to encourage the little ones to have a go at the event, regardless of how good they are. There’s no need for trendy bikes either – anything works from balance bikes to those which still have training wheels attached. And in addition to that, if you kid wants to swim through a 25-meter swimming pool, then that’s fine too – you can join them as well if they want you to. The distances and facilities have been adjusted to cater to all the different age groups.
Every child participating in the competition will get a race pack, complete with t-shirt, caps, and refreshments on the finishing line. Children must bring a helmet, bicycle, running shoes, swimwear and goggles with them in order to participate. Every single participant will get a medal, regardless of their timing, as it is all about being rewarded for trying their best.
X3 Junior Triathlon will be held on 17th November 2017 on Kite Beach at 6am, when the weather is perfect and the sea is flat and calm. Families are welcome to come along and cheer for the young athletes. A race village will offer entertainment and treats for all participants and their families, so there’s plenty to do once the races end.
